Family ATA Martial Arts holds a very special place in the lives of our family. It took our family over a year to decide on a school. Whether it was other TKD schools, Kuk Sool Won, or Karate in the area we ended up choosing Family ATA Martial Arts not only because of the focus on teaching the traditions of Tae Kwon Do, but also the strong emphasis on teaching life skills that we felt were important to our children's growth, safety, and development. From the moment that they met Ms Hallex, there was an instant connection. We didn't see this kind of connection at any of the other schools we visited.
What started out as a way to spend time together as a family doing something fun, has become a full-fledged sport for the entire family! When we joined Family ATA we realized much like the Leadership program that we have not only committed ourselves to train to the rank of Black Belt and beyond; we have also committed ourselves to being leaders, not only at ATA, but in life.
We have also seen tremendous changes in our children including an increase in self-confidence, disipline, and motivation to take on challenges that are set in front of them.
The Family ATA instructors and owners have always treated us with the utmost respect, much like that of true family members. We don't just learn about perseverance, self-confidence, discipline and respect at this school - We learn about ourselves and who we can become.
Thank you Family ATA Martial Arts for being an important part of our family. We never dreamed that TKD would be this much FUN! We are looking forward to seeing the great things ahead for Family ATA Martial Arts!
The Resurreccion Family
My name is Sharon Bedell and I am 58 years old and I want to express what ATA Martial Arts Family of Spring, Texas has done for our family. First of all family is very important when my son was growing up my husband & I supported any sport he was in and when he joined Boys Scouts we both were involved. We were in it for 10 years. My son reached the highest award and is an Eagle Scout. When he got out of scouts he then joined FFA and we were involved with him on that. My son is married now and has two sons (grandsons). My husband & I have supported my oldest grandson in four wheel racing, baseball, soccer. Went to every event he had. They came to us and said he wanted to do Karate and that they signed Triston up with the ATA Martial Arts. We went and watch him and we have supported him through all of his training. Then my youngest grandson Hunter joined, followed by my son and daughter-in-law. They convinced my in joining also. I have enjoyed be part of the ATA Martial Arts Family. Everybody has been very friendly and helpful. They don�t make you feel like you don�t belong. It has not been easy for me because I can�t do the things I use to when I was younger but I feel I am doing better than I thought I would. I am determined to do the best I can. I am not giving up and I will be there to support my grandsons and family. Family is very important to me and showing example is a very important feature. If you make up your mind to do something you can do it. I recommend the ATA Martial Arts to anybody. I have been bragging at work that I have been taking these classes. It has been a great experience and I look forward to all my training.
THE BEDELL FAMILY
The saying it takes a community to raise a child holds true and it is reinforced everyday my children walk through the doors of the Family ATA Studio.
My family was introduced to Ms. Bruno in October 2007, when my 5 year old son, Colt started in her Tiny Tiger Class. From the very beginning, I knew we were in the right place. Ms. Bruno commanded respect in a fun, positive way that could be transferred into our home. She reinforced the basic morals & values that we were teaching at home and stood behind the decisions we were making as a family. My husband & I have noticed a big improvement in his focus, concentration & overall attitude. We definitely get more yes maam�s & yes sir�s. we are very anxious for him to get his 1st degree black belt.
My 4 year old daughter Maggie started taking Tiny Tiger class in March 2008. It took an entire year to get her onto the floor for an entire class. She now loves to come to class to get stars & spar.
Our family chooses to spend as much time as possible here with what has become our extended family. We know that the friendships both our kids make here will last & be very memorable.

My daughter, Cierra Scales, has been a part of the school for over a year now. Ms. Hallex and Ms. Bruno always go out of their way to take care of each individual student and parent. The school is not just a job to them but a way of life for them. All the coaches that work at the school have a passion and dedication that is unprecedented. Finding this school for Cierra was the best thing that could have happened for her. Cierra started out a reserved student and since then has grown into a fierce competitor whose eye is always on the goal. It is especially great to have all the great female role models showing her the way to reach all her goals.

Thank you ATA for continuing to be such a positive influence in the life of our son. Our son Charlie was just turning 3. He already had one younger sister and another one was on the way. For such a little boy, it was a lot of change. He was in need of something he could truly call his own and something that would help bridge him out of the �terrible two�s.� ATA filled this and more. By coming to class Charlie has learned so many more valuable lessons than we ever imagined. The caring instructors have guided him in a way that I truly admire. They have helped teach our son things that will stay with him a lifetime and for that I am truly grateful. Perseverance, self-confidence, discipline, respect are just some of the things he is learning while having fun. Thank you ATA for being so much more than just an activity that we bring our child to a couple of times a week.
